CDBG Materials - Texas Department of Agriculture Community Development Block Grant East Medina Special Utility District
Medina County is accepting sealed bids for pipe, valves, and fittings until 10:00 am on Monday, July 6th, 2026, at 1300 Avenue M, Room 139, Hondo, Texas 78861. Bid documents, including the bid, and the bid bond shall be sealed in an envelope and clearly labeled with the words "CDBG Materials Bid Documents,” the project number – CDV23-0125, name of bidder and the date and time of bid opening. - July 6th, 2026, 10:00 am.
The bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at 10:00 am on Monday, July 6th, 2026, at 1300 Avenue M, Room 139, Hondo, Texas 78861. Commissioners Court will discuss and take possible action on this item during its regular scheduled meeting on Monday, July 27th, 2026.
Bids are invited for the several items and quantities as follows:
Bid #1 Original Location
Approximately 8,000-ft of 3”- 6” SDR21 PVC Pipe
Approximately 10 - 6” Ductile Iron Gate Valves
Various Ductile Iron pipe fittings & Small Diameter Brass plumbing fittings
Bid #2 Extended Location
There is an additive alternative bid for approximately 7000-ft of additional SDR21 PVC pipe and associated Ductile Iron fittings

A bid bond in the amount of 5 percent of the bid issued by an acceptable surety is required with each bid for those contracts that exceed $100,000. A certified check or bank draft payable to Medina County or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (as par value) may be submitted in lieu of the Bid Bond.
This solicitation is for services related to a project that is subject to the Build America, Buy America Act (BABA) requirements under Title IX of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act. Absent an approved waiver, all iron, steel, manufactured products, and construction materials used in this project must be produced in the United States.
Medina County reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding.
Bids may be held by Medina County for a period not to exceed 30 days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidders' qualifications prior to the contract award.
